  • (Jul 2020): Our work on training deep neural networks through alternate minimization, an alternate approach to backpropagation, is accepted at Elsevier Neural Networks.

  • (Aug 2019): Happy to share that our group students, Sukrut received the President of India Gold Medal, Vaibhav received the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence and Co-Curricular Activities, Nehal received the Silver Medal for MTech, and Rahul received the Silver Medal for BTech (ES) in this year's convocation. Congratulations to all of them!

  • (Jun 2018): Our work on understanding error landscape on neural networks will be presented at the Theory of Deep Learning and Non-convex Optimization workshops at ICML 2018.

  • (Apr 2018): Our dataset for understanding user engagement in the wild from videos, DAiSEE, is now available here. The dataset will be presented at the 4th Vision meets Cognition workshop at CVPR 2018, and was also featured in the media (The Hindu).
