Kavita Kundal

Kavita Kundal is a Ph.D. Scholar working under the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme in Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India. She received her Master of Engineering in Biotechnology and Medical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Odisha, India and Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Sardar Beant Singh State University (SBSSU) Gurdaspur, Punjab, India in 2021 and 2019 respectively. Her present research interest lies in the field of Computational Biology, Cancer Genomics and Radiogenomics.

Avik Sengupta

Avik Sengupta is a research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, working under the leadership of Dr. Rahul Kumar in Computational Genomics and Transcriptomics lab. He has completed his Master in Science (M. Sc.) from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela in Life Sciences and did a project in nanobiotechnology as his master thesis project. He has pursued his Bachelors in Science (B. Sc. Hons.) in Microbiology from University of North Bengal, West Bengal. His current interests are colorectal cancer studies, drug discovery, biomarker discovery, and AI/ML based-prediction server development.

Sushree Sangita Kar

Sangita, a Ph.D. scholar with CSIR-UGC fellowship, has completed her M.Sc. in Zoology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and her B.Sc. in Zoology from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar. Her current research interests center around the application of single-cell transcriptomics to the study of breast cancer. This cutting-edge approach allows her to delve into the molecular profiles of individual cancer cells, uncovering novel gene expression patterns and signaling pathways that may serve as potential therapeutic targets.

Bhanu Teja Korra

Bhanu Teja Korra, a Ph.D. scholar supported by the CSIR-UGC Fellowship, focuses on studying the relationship between epigenetics and cancer. He did his Bachelor's degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and his Master's degree in Molecular Medical Microbiology from IIT Kharagpur. Previously, he worked as a Project JRF at the National Institute of Virology, Pune, and as a Project Associate at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) in Hyderabad.

Subashani

Subashani is a Ph.D. Scholar working under the CSIR-UGC Junior Research Scholarship scheme in Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University Agra, India in 2019 and Masters of Science in Biochemistry from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur, India in 2021. She is interested in leveraging multi-omics data for studying disease biology and prognosis.

Twinkle Mishra

Twinkle Mishra is a Ph.D. scholar at IIT H, did her Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Ranchi University, Jharkhand and her Master's degree in Biotechnology from Birsa Agricultural University, Jharkhand. Previously, she worked as a Young Professional-II at the ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (ICAR-IIAB), Jharkhand in the field of Bioinformatics and Genomics & Molecular Breeding. Her current research interest lies in exploring Computational Biology, Cancer Genomics and Transcriptomics.

Vinodini D is a Ph.D. scholar at the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H), supported by a CSIR Fellowship. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biotechnology from East West Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Her research interests lie in computational investigations for cancer diagnosis and therapeutics, utilizing bioinformatics and computational techniques for cancer treatment strategies.

Suvranil Dutta is currently pursuing M.Tech in Medical Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He completed his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal and B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Kalyani, West Bengal. Previously, he worked as a summer intern at Institute of Health Sciences, Presidency University, West Bengal. His current interests are Cancer Genomics, Computational Biology and biomarker discovery.

Tuhin Chakraborty

Tuhin Chakraborty is currently pursuing M.Tech in Medical Biotechnology at IIT Hyderabad. He has completed his B.Tech in Biotechnology from Adamas University, Kolkata (CGPA: 9.40), with a dissertation focused on bioinformatics tools for biological data analysis. His Research experience includes internships at the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine, where he used RStudio and Orange for data visualization and mining, and at Sharda University, where he worked on metagenomic analysis of soil samples for Microbial Fuel Cell applications. His Interests lies in Computational biology, Cancer Biology, multi- omics integration, and AI/ML applications in biomedical research.

Kulkarni Rishabh

Rishabh is a fifth-year BS-MS student at IISER Pune with an interest in Cancer Bioinformatics and Precision oncology. He has experience working with different types of omics data, including genomics and transcriptomics, and applies machine learning and predictive modelling to explore questions in cancer biology. His current work lies in the field of radiogenomics, focusing on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and its molecular characterization through imaging. Outside of academics, he enjoys trekking, playing volleyball, and listening to a wide range of music—from Indian classical to hip hop.

Akash Dileep

Akash Dileep K is a fifth-year BS-MS student at IISER Pune, currently completing his master’s thesis in the Computational Genomics and Transcriptomics Laboratory. He has a background in both wet-lab and computational biology, with previous experience working on cytoskeletal dysregulation in neurons and developing motif detection algorithms. His current interests lie in applying omics data and machine learning to investigate the molecular basis of neurodegenerative diseases..
