UTPL

Ultrafast Terahertz Photonics Laboratory

Our research focuses on active-passive ultrafast terahertz photonics, spintronics, and superconductors. We use light to drive strongly correlated materials, high-Tc superconductors, quantum materials, chalcogenide, and topological insulators to the out-of-equilibrium states and investigate them using a terahertz probe. We use the microscopic understanding of nonequilibrium cooperative phenomena of driven materials to design novel devices for ultrafast information processing, ultrasensitive sensing, communication, quantum circuits and computation. Our lab is equipped with ultrafast terahertz measurement ecosystem to study charge carrier and spin dynamics in emerging material systems.
