Our lab makes Micro-Nano-scale Analytical and Detection Systems, using Large Scale Integration (LSI) in microfluidics. As in electronics, LSI requires miniaturisation and system integration. To do so, we have worked on miniature microscopes, on-chip valves and temperature controllers. The system integration plays a crucial role in automation and control of all the components and makes a good part of our work in labortory.
We also pursue application of graphene in nanofiltration and nanofluidics. Graphene has nice and intriguiing properties for these areas - it can be a good platform for devices as well as fundamental physics.
Majority of our work is focused towards application in biology and chemisty, by manipulation and analysis of small chunks of matter (“microscale mass processing”).
