We are currently looking for potential PhD students interested in joining the lab to work on various facets of nanoplasmonics. Further details about PhD admissions can be found at MSME department’s PhD admissions 2023.
Students with scholarship (CSIR, UGC, DST-Inspire etc.) are welcome to apply throughout the year.
Prospective PhD Students
We are always looking for motivated students interested in pursuing a PhD in nanoplasmonics and allied areas. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the work, our group has students from diverse backgrounds including metallurgy, physics, chemistry, materials science, biotechnology and nanotechnology. If you are interested in working with us as a PhD student, please send me an email.
Some of our research areas (& their applications) and potential backgrounds of students:
- Biosensing (for disease diagnostics) - Biotechnology, Physics, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, Materials Science (& allied areas)
- Biosensing (for environmental remediation) - Chemistry, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Materials science (& allied areas)
- Optical modulators - Physics, Materials Science (& allied areas)
- Alloy plasmonics (new materials for applications) - Metallurgy, Materials science (& allied areas)
Important: please insert “Application PhD” in the subject line.
Prospective Post-doctoral researchers
There are various postdoc scholarship available from different funding agencies like DST and DBT. I’d be happy to support you after you apply to our group. Take a look at the NPDF.
Prospective M.Tech./Internship students
If you are interested in pursuing a short internship/project or M.Tech. thesis in the area of plasmonics (or allied areas), please send me an email with all the details.
