I am Head of R&D with WiSig Networks working on 4G and 5G cellular systems. Also, I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor, at IIT Hyderabad (IITH), where I teach courses and lead the physical layer design and research in the 5G Testbed project. I represent IITH in 3GPP and ITU-R-WP5D (a United Nations group) meetings. I represent WiSig Networks in ORAN alliance and TSDSI meetings. I am a Governing Council member in TSDSI for the 2020-2024 period.
Previously, I was a 3GPP RAN1 delegate representing Samsung in 3GPP 5G Layer-1 standardization. I received the B. Tech degree from IIT Madras in 2009, and Ph.D degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2015. Prior to my Ph.D., I was a modem engineer with Qualcomm where I worked on radio frequency drivers for UE modem chipsets.
I was awarded the Exemplary Reviewer award for 2019 IEEE Wireless Communications Letters journal. I won the Best Paper Award (Honorable Mention) at COMSNETS 2020. I was given the IP Creator award for the year 2017 at Samsung for creating most number of valuable patents. At Qualcomm, I was given several Qualstar awards for excellent performance across various projects.
