Hemanth Kumar
Paidi Hemanth Kumar

Hemanth Kumar pursued his M.Tech. degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology Durgapur, West Bengal, India and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Institute of Technology Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, Chattisgarh, India. His M.Tech. project was on “Effect of grain refiner and modifier on mechanical properties of A356 aluminium alloy” in CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur, India. At NPML, he is working on the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) synthesis of 2-D materials like graphene, MoS2 and crystal growth of porous materials on these 2D materials. He is also interested in carrying out in-situ liquid cell TEM studies.

Aditya Yadav
Aditya Yadav

Aditya is a PMRF student who is working on the synthesis of graphdiyne membranes for separation applications. He holds a Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu, India and bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University, Maharashtra, India. After his master's he worked on a project in the Polymer Science & Engineering department at CSIR - National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India. He is enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. programme at IITH with Dr. Deepu J. Babu and Dr. Venkata Rao Kotagiri.

Ganesh
Rayapuram Shiva Ganesh

Ganesh completed his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Calicut, Kerala. Later he joined IIT Hyderabad for his Master’s degree in Materials science and Metallurgical Engineering. Currently, he is pursuingPh.D. at Nanoporous lab in the Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering Department. His Ph.D. thesis is on Gas separation of Olefin/Paraffin using Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) Membranes. Recently, he was awarded PMRF by the Ministry of Education (MOE).

Narendra
Girada Narendrakumar

Girada Narendrakumar completed his Master's (M.Sc.) in chemistry with specialisation in organic chemistry from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) from Andhra Pradesh Residential Degree College (APRDC), Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He is currently enrolled as a Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. programme at IITH with Dr. Deepu J. Babu and Dr. Venkata Rao Kotagiri. He will be working on the development of porous organic polymers for CO2 capture.

Asha
Asha Shende

Asha did her Master's in Environmental Science & Technology from NIT Durgapur, West Bengal and Bachelor's from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra. Her master’s thesis topic was “Green synthesis of Ag/ZnO-coated Activated Carbon using Acacia Auriculiformis for removal of lead from aqueous medium”. She is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from IIT Hyderabad under the supervision of Dr Pritha Chatterjee and Dr Deepu J. Babu. She will be working on Carbon Capture using Electrochemical methods.

Lins
Lins Varghese

Lins Varghese completed his bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering from NIT Calicut, Kerala. He has previously worked on projects involving studies on the “Stability of MaPbI3 perovskite layers for solar cells” and the “Fabrication of platinum Nano islands for Resistive memory devices”. He joined IIT Hyderabad as a direct PhD student and is working under the supervision of Prof. Ranjith Ramadurai and Dr. Deepu J. Babu. His Ph.D. work will involve CVD synthesis of 2D materials for semiconductor applications.

Shruthi
S. Shruthi

S Shruthi completed her B. Tech. in Materials Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala. As part of her undergraduate studies, she did her final project as an exchange student at NPML, IIT Hyderabad (IITH) on the CVD synthesis of MoS2 for spintronics applications. Following her B.Tech., she joined as a direct Ph.D. student in the Greenko School of Sustainability and is co-supervised by Dr. Luis Francisco Villalobos, University of Southern California. Her research is on the gas adsorption studies on 2D materials.

Aashi
Sanika Palnitkar

Sanika is a final-year student pursuing M.Tech. in Sustainable Engineering from Greenko School of Sustainability, IIT Hyderabad. She has graduated in architecture. Her research interests include materials and techniques for sustainable infrastructure and improving thermal comfort in buildings. Currently, her work focuses on studying adsorbent materials for adsorption-based cooling systems.

Aashi is currently pursuing her M.Tech in Semiconductor Materials and Devices at IIT Hyderabad. She completed B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SMVDU, Jammu. Her current project focuses on the synthesis of 2D materials using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) techniques.

Srivatsa Singitham

Srivatsa is currently pursuing Master's degree in Semiconductor Materials and Devices at IIT Hyderabad. He completed Integrated Master's of Science in Physics from the University of Hyderabad. His thesis work focuses on the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials through chemical vapor deposition (CVD).

Farsana V C

Farsana is currently pursuing her MSc in Chemistry at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. At NPML, she is pursuing her master's project and focuses on the development of a hydrogen-substituted Graphdiyne membranes for separation applications. As part of her work, she has developed methods for the synthesis of anodic aluminum oxide porous substrate.

Ardra K

Ardra is an MSc Chemistry student from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, currently carrying out her six-month master's project at IIT Hyderabad. Her work focuses on the synthesis and development of a zinc based metal-organic framework - CALF:20 membranes for carbon capture applications.
