I am a Chemical Engineer. I address problems in the applied mechanics of solids and fluids - that is,
problems of stress generation, deformation, fracture and flow - as they arise in drying, drug delivery,
rheology etc. I was relocated to IIT Hyderabad around Nov, 2015. I am also the recipient
of several scholarship and research awards. My research experience has included hybrid complex fluid’s
characterization and response under shear, desiccation of colloidal dispersion, simulation (of multi-scale
models) of circulating fluidized beds and adsorption of dyes (effluent coming out of textile industries) by
activated charcoal.
I am presently involved in research related to design and development of next generation pharmacokinetic model for therapeutic
targeted drug delivery. In inflammation related targeted drug delivery in general for ICAM-antiICAM systems,
I am investigating the feasibility of using a deformable nanocarrier for precise drug delivery.
I am passionate about exploring shades of dusk and I try to capture them. I am learning about photography for past 6-7 years now. I used to run half-marathons. After a gap of nearly 2 years, I have started practicing again and I am not asking you to run with me. I love to travel when I get time. 2013 winter I biked for 37 miles around SF bay area. I like to go for a walk along river or lake, witness sunset from a valley or a beach. I also like visiting observatories and museums of different themes . My previous activities and interests include playing Hawaiian guitar, working for non-govt organizations related to healthcare and education, playing soccer, writing poems ... I enjoy discussions related to politics and economics, social movements, development of Science and Engg., art and culture.
