About

Abhijit is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad. His research spans computer architecture, systems for AI/ML, and quantum computing, with a central focus on optimising data movement for performance, efficiency, and security.

Before joining IIT Hyderabad, he was a Director of Research and Group Leader at N3Cat, UPC BarcelonaTech, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at TARAN, INRIA. He also briefly worked as a Senior Silicon Design Engineer at AMD on the Zen microarchitecture as part of the performance modeling team.

Abhijit has a PhD from IIT Guwahati, where his dissertation received the institute’s Best PhD Thesis Award. He is also known for producing popular gem5 tutorials with over 35K YouTube views and creating CA Deadlines, a website that provides countdowns to top Computer Architecture conference deadlines.
